Rule 97
Committee Arrangements
(1) If an employee dies due to an accident during his service, or if he is treated for an injury or becomes disabled for life, there will be a committee consisting of the following members to inquire about the benefits, treatment expenses or gratuities that he, his family or descendants will receive. (a) In the case of employees of the Kathmandu Valley office,
(1) Representative of the Ministry of General Administration,
(2) Representative of the Ministry of Finance (3) Representative of the Ministry
(4) The head of the office where the employee is employed (b) In the case of employees of offices located in districts other than Kathmandu Valley,
(1) Chief District Officer of the concerned district,
(2) Head of the Treasury and Accounts Controller Office of the respective district,
(3) District Health Chief
(2) The committee constituted as per sub-rule (1) shall have the right to recommend whether or not an employee has died in an accident while in service, or whether or not he is disabled or injured in an accident.
(3) The recommendation under sub-rules (1) and (2) should be made on the basis of the following documents:-
(a) Death registration certificate in case of death,
(b) Surzamin Muchulka Police Report,
(c) Document or bill of the hospital where the treatment was given,
(d) Recommendation of the employing agency of the employee to be treated.
